I just finished making my bed with fresh clean sheets. There’s something about a made bed. What exactly is the charm? Is it that the whole room looks tidy and
clean? There is certainly always a pleasure
in entering your bedroom and seeing that the bed is made. It suggests a comfort that the unkempt bed
cannot. A made bed is uncluttered. A made bed is peaceful. It suggests that the person who will sleep
within is also uncluttered and peaceful.
I love that "Fly Lady", the organizing guru site recommends morning bed making as a routine. It's interesting to note that some of her recommendations seem aimed at keeping people from depression and staying in (and in bed) more than they should. Still, there's a lot to learn from the "Fly Lady"; so I'll link it below:
